Staff at Auckland Pak’n Save said the Covid-19 incident visited their store | 1 News
Employees in the Auckland supermarket are reportedly visited by people who tested positive for Covid-19.
Shoppers who didn’t know they were infected at the time visited Pak’n Save on the Royal Oak between 1 pm and 3 pm on Saturday, August 8th.
In a letter to the staff, Oakland DHB saw the visit as “low risk”, said Michael Van Brink, Roayl Oak Pak’n Save Manager.
He said the people working at that time were “very unlikely to be affected by this brief exposure,” and did not have to go into self-isolation.
The store remains open and anyone in the store during this period will be asked to monitor their symptoms.
They are considered casual contacts for the incident.
