We'll find out if Seattle Mariners fans can get loud enough to cause an earthquake.

A seismometer was installed at T-Mobile Park before Friday night's decisive Game 5 of the American League Division Series to measure seismic activity for an expected crowd of more than 47,000 people at the corner of Edgar and Dave's.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network shared photos on social media Friday morning of the seismograph installation, giving a nod to what Mariners All-Star outfielder Cal Raleigh said after the team won the second game at the stadium on Sunday night.

“Cal Raleigh said he felt the ground shaking in Game 2, so we came to take a closer look!” reads this post. “…We want to feel this place shake!”

The device has a catchy nickname: “Richter Rizzs,” in honor of longtime Seattle Mariners radio voice Rick Rizz.

Live monitoring of seismometer readings will be available starting at 4pm Friday at Mariners.PNSN.org.

Seattle sports fans have a history of seismic activity. In 2011, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's 67-yard touchdown run in a playoff win over the New Orleans Saints, known as the “Monster Earthquake,” scored 2.0 on the Richter scale. A magnitude 2.0 is the highest magnitude for a small earthquake, according to the US Geological Survey.

Mariners fans will have to raise their voices loudly to match that output. The Beast Quake game had an official attendance of 66,336 people at Lumen Field, which has a capacity of over 20,000 more than T-Mobile Park.

Game 5 of the ALDS is set to premiere at 5:08 p.m. Radio coverage on the Seattle Sports App and Seattle Sports 710 AM will begin with an extended pregame at 2 p.m.
