Waste complaints, SPPG in Kraksaan Probolinggo also does not have Halal certification
Probolinggo,- Free Nutrition Distribution Service Unit (SPPG) Sidomukti 003 in Kraksaan District, Probolinggo Regency not only pollutes the environment with a pungent odor believed to come from kitchen waste.
The kitchen that offers the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program apparently does not yet have halal certification. In fact, halal certification is necessary to ensure that all food distributed is halal, clean and has nutritional value.
Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of the Indonesian Development Driving Scholars (SPPI) MBG Program for Probolinggo Regency, Pujo Wisnu, confirmed that SPPG Sidomukti 003 does not yet have halal certification.
According to Pujo, SPPG Sidomukti 003 is currently still applying for a halal certificate. However, the kitchen would have received a Health Hygiene Certificate (SLHS).
“The SLHS already exists, while the halal certificate is still being processed,” said Pujo, Thursday (5/21/26) afternoon.
Pujo assured that residents’ reports of suspected waste pollution and halal food menus would be followed up immediately so as not to cause lasting problems.
“We will immediately follow up on this report,” Pujo stressed.
Previously, residents complained about SPPG Sidomukti 003 as it caused a strong smell over the past month. Waste streams even enter residential areas. The waste is dumped illegally because the wastewater treatment plant (IPAL) is considered problematic.
This media reporter also tried to confirm the actions taken by the MBG of Probolinggo Regency, who is also the Regional Secretary of Probolinggo Regency, Ugas Irwanto, to respond to this matter.
