Coronavirus: UK death toll rises sharply as hospitals prepare for a rise in cases – BBC News
The UK government has announced drastic new measures to curb the spread of coronaviruses and the following day, three young doctors working in the accident and emergency department of a London hospital issued a warning to Britain.
They say that people between the ages of 20 and 30 are very ill, and that the rise of cases has only just begun.
Tuesday’s coronavirus death rate rose to 87 – the highest increase so far. 422 people have lost their lives now.
It is also revealed that next week a new rural hospital is being opened and can accommodate 4,000 patients at an East London convention center.
And the government has launched a volunteer scheme to hire 250,000 people to help the vulnerable people confine themselves to their homes.
