A Tennessee man alarmed this week by sending a letter to his deceased mother by the local health department. She tested positive for COVID-19 and informed her that she needed to be quarantined.

Troy Whittington showed KGW-TV A letter from the Shelby County Health Department addressed to his mother, Sandra Whittington, who said he had tested positive for coronaviruses two months ago. However, Whittington died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease confirmed on his death certificate a few weeks before being tested in the county.
She died in hospice care after a long battle with a disease that killed herself.
Whittington had been cremated for months at the time the county claimed she was tested, which she could have tested on June 20 as the county told her son. It was shown to be “obviously impossible”.
“I’m having a hard time figuring out how they say someone has COVID-19 even if they aren’t alive,” said Whittington.
In addition, Whittington wondered if the county really believed that his mother had a positive test in June, but it took so long for the Department of Health to send her a letter to self-quarantine. I have a question.
