Letter urges Salford residents to suppress Covid-19

The Salford Council has sent an “urgent and important message” to all households in the city to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Authorities are anxious to circumvent the restrictions, with an infection rate of 82.3 per 100,000.
Mayor Paul Dennett said he was “really worried” about the level of the virus, especially in cases across all communities and age groups.
If it spreads to “vulnerable inhabitants”, it can have “tragic consequences”.
The letter said: “I call on you to show the” spirit of Salford “to protect people. “
Salford continues to be part of Manchester’s municipal regulations, but city leaders are concerned that the measures are not working.
Dr. Munaabdel Aziz, director of public health at the council, requires residents to wear face coverings in stores and public places, 2 meters away, and avoid physical contact outside the household.
