Leaked Honor 30 sketch suggests 50MP triple camera configuration

According to reliable tipsters of @Onleaks, the next Honor 30 will feature a flagship quality camera configuration. In fact, it will come with some semblance of the recently released Huawei P40. Today, the leaker has published an interesting sketch of the Honor 30, including some details on the flagship’s camera.

According to the sketch above, the next device has a square shaped camera island with three powerful sensors. The main module is a 50MP IMX7xx sensor from Sony. It has a binning 4 in 1 pixel which produces 2.24 million pixels. The Huawei P40’s sensor, on the other hand, produces larger pixels. So we assume that Honor does not recycle the P40 camera.

The second camera module is a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle camera that also supports pixel grouping. The latest camera module is an 8MP telephoto module that offers 3x optical zoom. According to rumors, the three-camera modules will be accompanied by a new technology from Huawei called the Octo Pixel autofocus.

While the Honor 30 is a flagship phone with Kirin 990 5G, the 30S will come with the all-new Kirin 820 5G chipset. The sketch also looks like the Honor V30 Pro released last year.

The Honor 30S will become official on March 30, it is not clear if the Honor 30 and 30 Pro will be revealed on the same date.
