Tehran – After falling sharply on Saturday, growth returned to the Iranian title on Sunday and continues on Monday as well.

TEDPIX, the leading index on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), rose 13,745 points to 529,328 as 7.232 billion shares worth 54,006 trillion rials (about 1 , $ 28 billion) were traded on Monday in this market, IRNA reported.

The first market index rose 8,510 points and the second market index rose 34,576 points, according to the same report.

TEDPIX had increased by 45,640 points, or 10%, to 524,394 in the past Iranian week.

The Bank Mellat, Bank Tejarat, Iran Khodro Industrial Group, Saipa Group, Isfahan Oil Refinery and National Iranian Copper Company indexes mainly contributed to the rise of TEDPIX in the past week, when the index trended noticeably up and hit a record low of half a million points.

As previously reported, TSE experienced the largest weekly increase in its main index during the Iranian calendar week ended January 17, which was the last week of Iran, Dey's tenth calendar month.

The index rose 45,638 points, or 12.9%, during the week mentioned to 399,445 points.

On Monday, the over-the-counter market in Iran, known as the Iran Fara Stock Exchange (IFB), also experienced growth in its main index, IFX.

The index rose 109 points to 6,784 as 2,432 stocks valued at 25,725 trillion rials (approximately $ 612.5 million) were traded in this market.
