Dumbarton MP criticizes Boris Johnson as he talks about brother dying of cerebral palsy
Dumbarton and the MP for Vale paid tribute to his late brother Graham while criticizing the Prime Minister for the advice of one of his advisers.
Martin Docherty-Hughes asked Boris Johnson why Andrew Sabinsky was employed despite discriminatory comments on eugenics – which is the science of controlled reproduction to increase the occurrence of desirable hereditary characteristics.
The local MP told how his late brother Graham died at the age of 15 from cerebral palsy. He was unable to walk, speak or eat, but Mr. Docherty-Hughes told his colleagues in the Commons how he brought love and joy to everyone who knew him.
He asked the Prime Minister: "To advise the house on behalf of all the disabled people on this island, why Andrew Sabinsky was placed at the heart of his government and was not removed from office immediately, when his odious opinions have become apparent? "
