Arizona reports 636 new coronavirus cases and 71 new cases in the Tucson region | Local News

Arizona recorded about 220,400 cases of coronavirus, the Arizona Department of Health reported on Saturday.

With 636 new cases, the state-wide total is 220,399 and the department is on Saturday Daily tabulation.. The total includes those who have recovered.

The State Department of Health said 5,705 people in Arizona died from COVID-19. Twelve new deaths have been reported today.

25,855 cases of coronavirus were confirmed throughout Pima County, an increase of 71 cases from the previous day.

Among the COVID-19 cases identified in Pima County:

• 3,036 people aged 65 and over.

• 2,825 people between the ages of 55 and 64.

• 3,481 people between the ages of 45 and 54.

• 11,931 people aged 20-44.

• 4,497 people under the age of 19.

The ages of 85 coronavirus patients in the county were unknown.

According to the State Health Department on Saturday, there were 627 known COVID-19 deaths in the Tucson area. No new deaths have been reported in Pima County today.

1,783,985 coronavirus tests were conducted throughout Arizona, with 10,514 reported yesterday.

Of the tests conducted throughout the state, 10.3% are COVID-19 positive, the state said. A week ago, 10.5% of state-wide tests were positive.
