YUNGBLUD Embraces “Sexual Liberation” on New Single Cotton Candy Kerrang!
Ahead of the release of his upcoming second album Weird! next month, YUNGBLUD unveiled a brand new single.
His latest effort is called Cotton Candy and follows previously released songs God Save Me, But Don’t Drown Me Out, Strawberry Lipstick and the title track which will all appear on the LP.
And the catchy new single not only shows how many genres star Dom Harrison’s real name will inevitably plunge into 21st Century Liability’s follow-up, it also feels unabashedly free, with YUNGBLUD clearly incredibly comfortable with who he is and the message he wants to send to fans.

“Cotton Candy is about sexual liberation, ”he explains. “For me sex and sexuality is about freedom and the idea that you can get lost in other people of all genders, shapes and sizes to find yourself and find out who you really are. Sexual interaction should not be shameful, it should be celebrated because to have safe sex is to spread love and the world needs love more than ever at this time.
“This song is so important to me because I see and talk to my fan base, facing insecurities around sexual interactions and I want to let them know it’s good to be exactly who they are and have the right to unconditionally love whomever they want and to be loved in return.
