Coronavirus: Raab urges UK public to stop blocking progress – BBC News
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has called on citizens to stay indoors this Easter weekend, telling people: “Let’s not spoil it now.”
After almost three weeks of closing, he said, “we are seeing the impact of the sacrifices we have all made.”
Raab said it was still “too early” to lift the restrictions.
7,978 people have now died after being tested positive for erythroid cancer, with 881 on Wednesday.
Speaking at the government’s daily table, Raab said he would not “decide to ease the blockade measures until the end of next week.”
He was the prime minister who remained in the hospital but was expelled from intensive care on Thursday evening.
