RV crashes in NH Home on New Year’s Day – NBC Boston

It was an alarming start to 2021 for a family in Concord, New Hampshire.

They were woken up on New Year’s Day when an RV collided with their home.

“My fiancé and I fell asleep in the basement and it was almost like an earthquake,” Elizabeth Cushman explained.

Elizabeth and her mother, Diana, says when the RV collided with their home on Loudoun Road at 4 am Friday, the atmosphere was chaotic and terrifying.

“Winnebago was all over the yard, it split completely in the middle and everything in it was just out,” Elizabeth said.

“There was gas flowing, and there was gas everywhere,” Diana added. “There were people in the RV and we were making sure that no one was injured on the ground.”

The Cushmans are convinced that the only reason they survived is that their cars took effect before their home.

Diana said, “If our trucks weren’t here, that Winnebago would have been at home, they would have been hung in the basement, and maybe get injured or killed.” “And I would be in my bedroom, maybe hurt or be killed.”

So, despite the fact that their cars are assembled, and they could have been killed before they ever open their eyes in 2021, Cushman somehow feels lucky – starting the new year with a fresh perspective.

“The shining silver lining is still here, no harm,” said Diana.

Police believe that three people were inside an RV when it crashed. They are still investigating what went wrong and whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
