Peshawar: The Christian community here in the regional capital celebrates Easter on Sunday by worshiping in their homes and following pastors via Facebook, live broadcast in the middle of the closure.

In Peshawar, he said, people used to do the Easter rally around 4 am from the All Saints Church area with thousands of participants, and relatives and friends will meet, but all these events have been canceled this year due to the spread of the coronavirus.

He said it was time for people of all faiths to pray to ask for forgiveness for their sins.

Another representative said that online sermons were arranged on Easter night from several major churches, including All Saints Church, St. John’s Cathedral, St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mall Road, etc.

In St. John’s Cathedral, online prayer was led by the supervisor of the Pakistani Church, Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz Peters. He also prayed for the protection of people from the halo and peace virus in the country.
