COVID-19 has been declared at the Hôtel-Dieu Mental Wellness Center

An outbreak of COVID-19 was declared at the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Crisis and Mental Wellness Center on Woolet Avenue.
In a media announcement, the hospital said three staff members were positive as of Saturday morning and were associated with the outbreak.
As a result, hospital staff are strengthening center cleaning protocols and increasing the importance of health recommendations, such as frequent hand washing and the use of personal protective equipment.
“The Crisis and Mental Health Center remains a safe place for members of our community seeking mental health support,” said Tammy Cotic, Integrated Director of Outpatient and Community Mental Health Services. “Individual treatment at the center will continue to be offered and the group will be limited to a maximum of 5 people.”
The hospital said it would provide up-to-date information on further outbreaks as information became available.
In addition to the Crisis and Mental Wellness Center, anyone experiencing a mental health or addiction crisis can visit the Mental Health and Addiction Emergency Care Center on 1400 Windsor Avenue. Community Crisis Services are available at any time of the day by calling 519-973-4435.
