LUBBOCK, Texas – Dressmakers say coronavirus is hurting their business.
"I can call while you're here, and if I have it in stock, I can get it next week," said Dianna Garcia, owner of Diane's Bridal and Quinceaera, to a customer.
Dianna has been helping women find the dress of their dreams for 25 years. She says getting the perfect dress is important.
"This is the biggest problem, because this dress is going to be fine. They are trying on dresses, and not all dresses will fit as they want. They want this certain style," says Dianna.
Lately, she says her business is feeling the impact of the coronavirus.
"I have had customers to shop, and they want to speed up the dress so they can have it for photos, for their events, and they tell me they don't do delivery express because of the coronavirus, so it's a little scary right now, ”says Dianna.
And she worries that things will get worse.
"It's kind of a nervous breakdown, because you don't know what the outcome will be. We don't know if next week, next month, the virus will spread even more where manufacturers are going to have to reduce, ”says Dianna.
She says that almost all of the dresses she orders come from abroad.

But she says brides and birthday girls should stay calm.
