The city of Pleasanton is holding a series of input sessions via Zoom next weekend to gather feedback from residents on three upcoming park regeneration projects.

“The city plans to revamp the existing stadiums in Vintage Hills Park and Tawny Park and two stadiums (East and Middle Courts) at Ken Mercer Sports Park in Spring / Summer 2021. Please join public awareness meetings to be held to discuss the proposed renovations to make your contribution,” city officials said .

Get volunteer training

Tri-Valley Haven, a local nonprofit, is recruiting volunteers interested in training in domestic violence or sexual assault or legal clinic advocates.

The 70-hour course, which will start on January 26, will take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening, from 6:30 to 10 pm via Zoom for approximately 10 weeks.

People who successfully complete the training will be certified to volunteer and assist clients who need assistance and resources. The deadline has been extended

The City of Pleasanton recently extended the application period until next Tuesday (Jan 19) for people interested in trying to become the next member of the city planning committee.

The four-year appointment will fill the position formerly held by new city councilor Jack Balch.

Interviewing applicants from the Planning Committee and making recommendations to the full board will be one of the first major tasks as Mayor of Carla Brown.
