1,884 new COVID-19 cases and 32 deaths.
Rockford, Illinois (WIFR)-The state-wide average 7-day case positive rate dropped to 2.5%, the lowest since July 7. The state’s average infection rate has fallen below 3% for 11 consecutive days. The longest such stretch since late June to early July.
As of Wednesday night, there were 1,463 coronavirus patients admitted to Illinois, of whom 334 were admitted to the ICU and 168 were admitted to the ventilator. This is the lowest number of people hospitalized throughout the state since September 21st.

-Adams County: One woman in the 80’s
-Christian County: One Woman in the 80’s
-Cook County: 1 man in his 20s, 1 man in his 50s, 2 men in his 60s, 4 men in his 70s, 2 women in his 80s
-DeKalb County: 1 man in the 1960s
-DuPage County: One man from the 80’s
-Jersey County: One man from the 70’s
-Kane County: 1 man in his 60s, 1 man in his 80s
-Kankakee County: One man from the 80’s
-Lake County: One man from the 90’s
-Logan County: One woman in the 80’s
-Madison County: 1 woman in her 30s, 1 man in her 80s
-Monroe County: Two 80’s Women
-Pike County: One man from the 80’s
-Randolph County: 1 woman in her 50s
-Rock Island County: One Woman in the 90’s
-Whiteside County: One man from the 80’s
-Will County: 1 man in his 60s, 1 man in his 90s
-Winnebago County: 1 man in the 70’s, 1 man in the 80’s
The Illinois Public Health Service reported 130,021 vaccinations on Wednesday. This is when daily vaccination reaches 6 digits for the first time. The previous record was 95,375 doses given on February 11.
More than 130,000 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Illinois on Wednesday. This was the highest in the day so far, as the state’s average infection rate also reached its lowest point in more than seven months.
To date, the state has received a total of 3,138,545 doses of coronavirus vaccine and 2,440,950 doses throughout the state. A total of 671,717 people are fully vaccinated, accounting for 5.27 percent of the state’s population. Over the past week, Illinois has received an average of 66,274 doses per day.
