A magnitude of 3.6 earthquake hits Guwahati

An official bulletin said that a 3.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Guwahati and its vicinity in Assam on Thursday.

She added that there were no immediate reports of loss of life or property damage.

The National Seismological Center said the quake struck at 10.33 pm, with its epicenter in the Camrup area near Guwahati.

She added that the depth of the earthquake was 30 km.

Panicked people fled their homes as the earthquake struck the area.
