Smith County reports two new COVID-19-related deaths since Monday | COVID-19
As of Thursday, Smith County reported two new COVID-19-related deaths since Monday, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 287.
Data in the Northeast Texas Public Health District as of Thursday show 72 new, possible confirmed cases since Monday, for a total of 19,695 in Smith County.
There are 11,461 confirmed cases and 8,234 possible cases in the county.
According to NET Health, COVID-19 cases, deaths, and recovery numbers are updated only every Monday and Thursday.
The number of confirmed recovery is 10,834 and the estimated recovery is 7,818. NET Health reports that there are 426 active cases identified in Smith County and 330 active cases.
