COVID vaccinations fall below 1 million per day
(CNN) – For the first time since January, the average pace of seven-day vaccination in the United States fell below one million per day on Thursday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that 808,000 coronavirus vaccines have been administered since Wednesday.
More than 169 million people, more than 51% of the US population, have been vaccinated at least once.
A little less than 137 million Americans, or about 41%, are fully vaccinated.
The pace of vaccination for children between the ages of 12 and 15 is approximately 75,000 times per day.
Public health experts say that vaccination is still very important, even though the COVID-19 infection rate is declining.
