Amazon delivery driver caught spitting video on package

An Amazon delivery driver was caught on a video appearing to spit on his hand and wiping it on a package delivered to the door of a resident in Hancock Park.

LOS ANGELES – An Amazon delivery driver was caught on a video appearing to spit on his hand and wiping it on a package delivered to the door of a Hancock Park resident.

According to Amazon, this pilot no longer delivers packages for the company.

“It’s horrible … It’s overwhelming,” said Tammy Minoff, a resident of Hancock Park.

The video posted on social networks shows the rough scene which took place around 6 am Thursday evening. The recipients did not want to pass in front of the camera, but said that they had gone to fetch the package and had noticed that it was wet, at first they thought that a dog had urinated on it, so they decided to look at their ring camera video and were horrified by what they saw.

“They warned us to watch out for packages. The proof is in the pudding when they watch this video and they all wanted us to be warned and to be on the lookout,” said Minoff.

Residents quickly decontaminated themselves and called the police and Amazon. We also contacted the company who told us that the delivery man no longer delivered packages for Amazon. The company released a statement saying in part:

“We are actively investigating to understand what may have happened in this situation. If it were really a malicious act by the driver, we will be sure that he will be held responsible, up to and including the measures of ‘law application.”

Meanwhile, residents say they posted the incident on social media to warn their neighbors, and Tammy Minoff is happy to have done so.
