PLCB to Expand Pickup Points at Liquor Stores Monday | New
On Monday, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will expand the curbside collection service to 389 other Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations across the state.
As of Monday, 565 Pennsylvania fine wine and liquor stores are accepting telephone orders for curbside pickup, PLCB president Tim Holden said in a statement. We recognize that Pennsylvanians are frustrated with busy signals and want more access to wines and spirits, so after learning from our experiences last week, we have improved order processing faster, lengthening order taking hours phone orders and be more flexible in scheduling pickups, even the same day, if pickup appointments are available.
The PLCB started taking orders over the phone at 176 locations last Monday, including nine in Delaware County. There will now be 19 Delco locations for residents to try to patronize. The updated list of stores can be found here: lcb.pa.gov/Consumers/Documents/Store_List_Phase_2.pdf
Some residents expressed frustration with the limited availability during the first week.
Friday at 11:30 a.m., two men who stopped at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection store at Baltimore Pike in Springfield were concerned that they could not order at the store and said they would be going to Delaware to get a bottle .
Bob d’Essington (who didn’t want to give his last name) stopped by for a few bottles of Canadian whiskey. He said that he had been trying to communicate with the phone all week, but had been unlucky.
A manager allowed him to pay with his credit card at the store and gave him two bottles.
It reminds me of Boot Camp, said Bob. Nobody knows anything.
We have made progress in expanding customer service for fine wines and fine spirits, and we hope that the addition of hundreds of other curbside pickup locations will help us overcome this large increase in demand for wines and spirits, said Holden. Again, we ask customers to be patient and we hope that the more we can process electronic and curbside pickup orders over time, the better we will be able to serve more and more Pennsylvanians during this pandemic. .
Most stores will support the curbside service from Monday to Saturday, taking a limited number of orders on a first call, first serve from 9 a.m. each day and scheduling pickup appointments between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to the press release. Some stores will operate on more limited days and hours.
Each store will continue to accept the first 50 to 100 orders placed each day, the statement said, although processing capacity is expected to increase over time.
No orders will be accepted by email or voicemail and callers must have their credit card ready when ordering, as this is currently the only method of payment accepted.
Orders are limited to one per caller, per store, per day, with a limit of six bottles. Pickups will be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. within a few days of ordering. When picking up, customers must present a valid ID to receive their order.
The PLCB also announced unaudited preliminary sales of $ 3.64 million on 38,145 orders during the first four days of curbside collection. Stores made nearly 6,000 transactions on Monday, raising $ 569,000.
There were another 8,000 orders Tuesday for $ 756,000; 11,300 orders Wednesday for $ 1.05 million; and 12,800 orders for $ 1.27 million Thursday, the statement said.
The PLCB does not currently plan to reopen stores to the public, although it has reminded customers that there are still other ways to obtain alcohol in the state.
Nearly 1,000 licensed producers in Pennsylvania, such as breweries, wineries, and distilleries, can still sell their own products for off-premises consumption, and restaurant and restaurant licensees such as bars and supermarkets can. sell up to 192 ounces of beer per transaction.
Restaurant licensees who also have extended wine licenses, including grocery stores and convenience stores, can also sell up to three liters of take-out wine, per transaction, and beer distributors can continue to sell for off-premises consumption.

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
