TEEN MOVIE: Newport Public Library, Program Room, 300 Spring Street, 3:45 p.m. Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back. The adventure continues in this "Star Wars" sequel. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca face an attack by the Imperial forces and its AT-AT marchers on the ice planet Hoth. While Han and Leia escape in the Millennium Falcon, Luke goes to Dagobah in search of Yoda. It is only with the help of the Jedi Master that Luke will survive when the dark side of the Force signals the ultimate duel with Darth Vader. No registration required. Teenagers only. CONCERT: Jamestown Recreation Center, 41 Conanicus Ave., 7:00 pm The Jamestown Everybody Chorus will present a concert entitled "Weather or Not: Here We Come!" All the songs are about the weather, like "Rainy Days and Mondays", "Sunshine on My Shoulders", "Singin’ in the Rain "and" Summertime ". Conducted by BJ Whitehouse, the 40-voice choir is made up of people of all ages who love to sing. As the name suggests, EVERYONE is welcome to join everyone's choir. Free but donations will be accepted to support local initiatives. The choir donated money to local food counters, the Lawn School Band and the city to support the purchase of a sound system for outdoor events, such as services Memorial Day events held at East Ferry. FRIENDS OF THE MIDDLETOWN LIBRARY: Wyndham Atlantic Resort, 240 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Friends of the Middletown Public Library, Inc. holds its annual meeting. A buffet dinner will be followed by a short business meeting, followed by our guest speaker Donna Russo Morin, internationally acclaimed blockbuster from the Amazon, author of several novels and multiple award winners. $ 35 and reservations can be made at the Middletown Public Library before March 6.

ART OPENING: Coastal Contemporary Gallery, 491 Thames St., Newport, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In honor of Women's Month, the Coastal Contemporary Gallery presents Masc., An exhibition of five artists from 39; diverse horizons whose works question the way in which people make space. Through an examination of contemporary masculinity and gender power dynamics, these works examine the ramifications of uncontrolled power and the patriarchal tendency (impulse) to control. SUNDAY, MARCH 15

CONCERT: St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Avenue, 2 p.m. Pianist Henry Kramer performs in honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. Kramer will begin his performance with Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 30 in E major, op. 109, composed 200 years ago in 1820. Its program also includes Piano Sonata No. 5 by Alexander Scriabin and a group of Polish, mazurkas and ballads by Frdric Chopin. For more details, call 423-0515.
