A mile-long driving holiday lighting experience is now running through December 24 at Gillette Stadium. The “Magic of Lights” event is a dazzling showcase of thematic light shows. Attractions include 12 Days of Christmas, Toyland, and the Enchanting Tunnel of Lights. New this year are Prehistoric Christmas, Big Foot Monster Trucks and the Snow Flurry Tunnel. The highlight of the show is the Illuminating Mega Trees, featuring 40 feet of dancing lights synchronized to popular holiday tunes. “Magic of Lights” will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Gillette Stadium is located at 1 Patriot Place, Foxboro. Visitors will be immersed in a magical world with over a million dazzling Christmas lights. The 45-minute drive route includes a visit to the frozen forest. After your visit, park and take the tram to Santa Claus Village. Step into the past and enjoy a centuries-old tradition, celebrating New England Christmases of the 19th century and today. On certain dates in December, the Village will open with special evening hours for guests to take in the sights, sounds and special traditions of the holidays of long ago. The 200-acre campus will be decorated for the holiday season. Guests can walk the Christmas Tree Trail and Christmas Wish Bridge, ride the horse-drawn tote, enjoy a nighttime tree-lighting ceremony, visit the over 500-room nativity scene, and admire the Christmas decor from the 1830s, 1850s and 1870s. At the “Winterlights” in Canton, tens of thousands of lights are hung around the gardens of the Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate, with music echoing through the trees. This is a walking event. There are themed sections along the way, such as Candy Cane Lane going up to the front door of the house, where the trees are shrouded in red and white lights. The Christmas in the Caribbean section features Santa Claus basking in a hammock. AFairy Garden has thousands of tiny green lights projected into the trees that seem to rush down. Over 17 million million lights will shine when the Christmas Festival of Lights at Edaville USA in Carver opens on November 12th. The event, which was canceled last year due to coronavirus concerns, continues until Christmas Day, when it will be closed. Christmas coaches will take passengers through a holiday setting with an explosion of lights and whimsical displays. Children can also ride vintage rides throughout the park. The holiday lights will shine brightly at the Marshfield Fairgrounds for a spectacle of nearly a million lights spread out along a driving course that takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Gaze at giant snowflakes, candy canes, snowmen, and arched trails as the lights vibrate to the sound of Christmas classics like Feliz Navidad and other holiday favorites. There will be new displays this season. Earlier installments were up to three stories high and 300 feet wide, including holiday scenes like a huge toy factory with illuminated gifts flashing in different places to move on a conveyor belt, and a snowman pulling a basketball over passing cars. The show is mainly focused on Christmas, but also features exhibits for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Near the back of the fairgrounds last year there was a huge Happy Hanukkah sign in white and blue. “The Marshfield Holiday Light Show” will be produced by BOLD Media.
