HIGH NOTES: Gift of sports trainers, in honor of 4H seniors
In Schenectady County and New York State, As front line workers, the New York State Athletic Trainers Association (NYSATA) donates $ 7,500 to Feeding New York State and $ 7,500 to Health Research, Inc. (HRI) to support COVID-19 relief efforts throughout the ‘State. Schenectady County has 24 NYSATA members. Thanks to this donation, residents suffering from food insecurity due to the pandemic will have the access they need to feed themselves and their families. The donation to Health Research, Inc. will fund direct expenses associated with response activities. In addition to monetary contributions, New York sports coaches have stepped up their efforts to help overworked health systems in the midst of the pandemic. They use their skills as health professionals to assist hospitals and understaffed health care organizations in a variety of ways, including testing, telehealth and infrastructure.
In Saratoga Springs, members of the Saratoga County 4-H and 4-H Teen Council celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of 4-H seniors by delivering signage to 30 seniors across the county. Seniors will also be rewarded with a 4-H Senior Spotlight on the Saratoga County 4-H Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SaratogaCounty4H. Many of these members have spent more than a decade as 4-H members, and many have taken on leadership roles in their clubs and the 4-H program as a whole.
