"Jungle Cruise" Trailer: Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Go on a Trip

Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson set off in search of a legendary tree in the latest trailer for Walt Disney Studios Jungle cruise.

Set in the early 20th century, the film follows the captain of the riverboat Frank (Johnson) as he takes a scientist, Lily (Blunt), and her brother, McGregor (Jack Whitehall), on a jungle mission to find the Tree of Life. During the trip, the group faces dangerous wild animals and a competing German expedition.

Edgar Ramirez, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti also play the role in the film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

The trailer opens with Lily explaining to Frank why she is in the jungle. "There is a legend in the Amazon jungle of a tree that heals everything. It could change the world," she said. "But if it falls into the wrong hands, it could awaken a great evil."

While Frank is skeptical of the real existence of the Tree of Life, Lily insists that the legend is real. He later reveals that he spent years looking for the tree and could not find it. "You are looking for something that cannot be found," he says.

Lily later reveals that she has a special key that will help the group find the Tree of Life.

A montage of clips follows that shows Frank, Lily and McGregor on their journey through the jungle, which includes them crossing paths with a number of dangerous animals. The group also finds itself face to face with the character of Plemons, who shoots a missile on their boat.

The trailer ends with Frank coming to the rescue of Lily when they swing over a vineyard on another side of the jungle. When Frank is unable to lock his foot on a roof, the two will fall back to their starting point. "Leave me alone. It was a disaster," she says.

Jungle cruise will be in theaters on July 24.
