Young children found at the scene of a double homicide in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, CA Two young children were found inside a car where a man and a woman were fatally shot Thursday night in Hollywood, authorities said Friday.
The slain woman is believed to be the children’s mother, NBC Los Angeles reported. No arrests were made during the shooting.
The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday on Vista Del Mar and Carlos avenues south of the Hollywood Freeway (101).

“Hollywood Patrol officers responded to numerous calls for fire,” Officer Annie Hernandez said. “When the police arrived, they located two victims.”
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers found a man and a woman lying on the street, each with multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims, who were in their early 20s, were pronounced dead by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at the scene, Hernandez said.
Television footage showed multiple shell casings in the area of the shooting.
Officers found the children in a nearby vehicle. They weren’t hurt.
The suspect is described as 6ft tall with a slender build and wearing a white t-shirt. He was last seen running north on Vista del Mar.
Homicide investigators remained at the scene overnight to collect evidence and search for other witnesses.
