Chris Isaak and Lyle Lovett score with joint show at Meadow Brook – Macomb Daily
Some may consider Chris Isaak and Lyle Lovett an odd couple for a tour, but the two proved to be more than complementary on Sunday night July 17 at the Meadow Brook Amphitheater.
Both have funny, dry wits and prefer costumes, though Isaac’s were rhinestone and mirrored mylar. They also both demonstrated, as usual, the impact of their respective ancestors on their music, coloring those influences with their own hues.
And the two who joined forces for the first time for one of Lovett’s virtual concerts during the pandemic shutdowns have played great together.
