Bollywood’s Jacqueline Fernandez named in indictment in extortion case of con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar

Last year Bollywood Jacqueline Fernandez came to media attention when his name was linked to suspected scammer Sukesh Chandrasekhar in a INR 2 billion money laundering case. The actor was repeatedly summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of India to record his statement. She has now been named in the ED load sheet.

According to India time, the actor was named in the indictment, however, it was reported that she may not be arrested at this time as the court has yet to acknowledge the written report. She is, however, banned from traveling outside India.

According to the publication, Fernandez initially did not respond to messages sent by the scammer. Later he approached the Vikrant Rona actress through her hairdresser. The report added that during questioning, Fernandez also told investigators that she was unaware of the scammer’s call from Tihar prison at the time.

According to Indian media, the actor revealed that she only met Chandrasekhar twice, that too when he was on parole.

Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actor and model who won the Miss Universe pageant in 2006 and made his acting debut with the Indian film Aladdin.
