Adipurush: On October 2, the creators of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon with Adipurush unveiled the teaser and the first poster of their film in Ayodhya. However, just hours after the release of the highly anticipated teaser, netizens began criticizing the film for Saif Ali Khan’s Islamic looks and unconvincing visual effects. Netizens start boycott trend against Prabhas Starrer Adipurush
Om Raut’s Adipurush movie has remained one of the most anticipated movies for many reasons, fans had high hopes for Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan star Adipurush which is based on the epic Hindi mythology Ramayana. Manufacturers recently held a big event in Ayodhya to launch the Adipurush teasing. Director Om Raut along with actors Prabhas and Kriti Sanon have reached Lord Rams’ hometown to seek his blessing and release the teaser for the film.
However, Adipurush’s teaser turned out to be a big “disappointment” for many fans. In a similar vein, netizens recently trended #disappointingly against the film on Twitter. After facing backlash, the film also became a target of the “Boycott” trend. Sharing the boycott trend against the film, one user tweeted, “Bollywood imported a mughlai Taimuri tadka from Talibani, for the role of lankesh in Adipurush……I’m confused whether to laugh or cry at about the creativity of Bollywood jokers……” another user tweeted, “This is nothing but mocking the great mythological epic Srimad Ramayana which millions of Hindus believe and revere as their spiritual guide”.
While apart from Saif Ali Khan’s look as Ravana, netizens have also claimed that Hanuman’s look in the film also has similarities to the Islamic religion, commenting on the same tweet that a user tweeted, “Bollywood hanuman looks like a muslim,” another tweeted, “After 35 years gutar bollywood has converted the grace of arrogant ravan and hanuman ji into mughals….”
