Jyotika Returns To Bollywood With Rajkummar Rao’s SRI, Wraps Filming

By Janani K. The best of Janani K: Jyotika dropped a big surprise on Instagram on January 29. She has revealed that she will be making her Bollywood comeback with Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Sri. She shared a photo with Rajkummar, director Tushar and producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani after finishing filming Sri. Suriya, actress and her husband took to the comments section to congratulate her.

Jyotika was last seen in Sasikumar’s star Udanpirappe. Recently, she finished filming her Malayalam film, Kaathal: The Core.

On January 29, Jyotika took to Instagram to reveal that she had wrapped filming for her Bollywood comeback movie, Sri. She wrote, “I finished my portions for SRI with a heavy heart. One of the best teams I have ever worked with. Thank you Tushaar n Nidhi for all the respect and for making me a part of this cinema significant. Big fan of you Raj. It’s an honor for me to share screen space with one of Bollywood’s most brilliant actors, I’ve learned so much from you. What I take away from this team as an actor, it’s… GROWTH (sic).”

Jyotika started her acting career in 1998 with Doli Saja Ke Rakhna. Although she had another release, Little John, in Hindi, she had mainly focused on Tamil films. She will now make her Bollywood comeback with Sri.
Sri is a biopic based on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani. The film also features Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar.
