Anil Kapoor shares clip of his first film as he completes 40 years as an actor, says this is where I belong
By India Today Entertainment Bureau: Anil Kapoor had made his debut in the Hindi film industry with ‘Woh 7 Din’. The film was released that very day, June 23, 40 years ago! Yes, the evergreen star is celebrating 40 years as an actor and in the film industry. On this special day, he took to Instagram to share a clip from his debut movie along with a heartfelt note!
ANIL KAPOOR COMPLETES 40 YEARS IN BOLLYWOOD
Anil Kapoor completed his 40th birthday in Bollywood today, June 23, 2023. The actor had made his debut with ‘Woh 7 Din’. He shared a clip from the film, along with a long note. He said, “Today I complete 40 years of being an actor and entertainer… 40 years of being accepted, loved and blessed by you, the audience! They say that when you do something you love , time flies… No wonder 4 decades feels like the blink of an eye! This is where I belong, this is what I’m meant to do and this is who I’m meant to be… ( sic)”
Recalling the help he received to get his big break in Bollywood, he added, “So many people helped me get to this stage in life, but I would especially like to recognize and thank the late Bapu saab, my brother @boney.kapoor and my father Surinder Kapoor for believing in me and giving me my first chance in #Woh7Din… I’m also forever grateful to @naseeruddin49 & @padminikolhapure for their grace in having welcomed a newcomer. Their fame made me shine brighter than I could have hoped. I owe everything I am today to these legends, and to the love and acceptance that I found from each of you. (sic)”
He concluded by writing: “To mark the completion of these 40 years, I come to you in two very special avatars with The Night Manager part 2 and Animal. I hope you will continue to love and support me as you always did (sic)”

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ANIL KAPOOR?
As mentioned by the man himself, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in the second part of “The Night Manager”, which will be released on June 29. He will next be seen in “Animal” with Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is set to be released on August 11, 2023.
After that, he lined up Siddharth Anand’s “Fighter” with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film will hit the big screen on January 25, 2024.
