Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), have left the hospital and are now continuing to isolate themselves in a rented house in Australia.
Hanks representative confirmed The Hollywood Reporter Monday that the couple remains in quarantine at home.
The Hollywood couple, both 63, announced their diagnosis on Wednesday, revealing on social media that after suffering from aches and mild fevers, they had been tested for the virus and found positive.
Hanks had traveled to Australia to begin filming Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic for Warner Bros. In response to Hanks' diagnosis, the studio stopped production of the film.
Wilson had made several appearances, including a performance at the Sydney Opera House. An Australian entertainment reporter who met Wilson after the performance turned out to be positive.
Hanks and Wilson have contracted the coronavirus in the United States or in transit from there, according to officials at Queensland Health, the Australian government department overseeing the disease epidemic in that state.
Since the announcement, Hanks has provided updates on his and Wilson's status via social media, his latest share coming late sunday evening.
