Emraan Hashmi says Bollywood is wasting money and should take inspiration from South

Emraan Hashmi said Bollywood “needs to learn” from the South industry.

Discuss with India Times Recently, the actor said that he didn't see himself getting into South Indian cinema and he also didn't think he would have to play the role of a villain at some point.

Last year, Emraan played the role of an antagonist in YRF's hit franchise, Tiger 3and will soon make his debut in Telugu with a film titled AND.

He revealed that he was prompted to change industries by three things: better-written characters, a huge canvas and director Sujeeth's great vision.

Emraan added: I think South filmmakers are much more disciplined than us. Every penny spent on their film is projected on the screen.

According to Emraan, Hindi cinema “misuses” money by spending a lot of it in the wrong departments, which do not contribute to improving the screen.

On the other hand, he believes that the South is much more ethical and logical with the amount of money it invests in films, especially their visual effects which end up looking extraordinary in the final cut.
