Superman actor Henry Cavill replaces Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for Marvel Cinematic Universe in a great new concept.
No one knows whenJustice League Star Henry Cavill will return as Superman despite the fact that the actor is adamant: the role is still his. With Warner Bros. and DC reshuffling their list of movies and characters to focus on, it doesn't seem like Cavill will resume their role as Superman anytime soon. We can imagine that it is difficult for the actor to go about his business knowing that he will not be able to scratch the itchy superheroes that Superman has provided him, that’s is why it would be perfect for the role of Wolverine now that Hugh Jackman has finished playing the character.
Hugh Jackman pulled out of Wolverine with the X-Men spin-offLogan, ending his almost two-decade tenure as a mutant with grace. Now that Disney has Fox and is set to integrate the X-Men characters into the MCU, it's hard not to imagine that they will bring Wolverine back to the big screen. With Hugh Jackman gone, the role of Wolverine still remains vacant, with many actors being nominated for the role. Henry Cavill, actor of Superman, is one of the main stars named by the fans for the role of Wolverine. This impressive work created by digital artist "ApexForm" on Instagram shows Henry Cavill replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. You can see Cavill as the X-Men hero below.
In the work, Superman actor Henry Cavill powerfully exudes the same energy and charisma that Hugh Jackman wore as Wolverine for almost twenty years. Henry Cavill also vibrates the beard that Wolverine is frequently seen sporting in comics and movies. On his left cheek, the actor Superman has a cut that gives us a cheeky look on his adamantium skull.
We have no real idea if Superman actor Henry Cavill will take on the role of Wolverine, especially because Hugh Jackman left such big shoes to fill. That being said, Henry Cavill has repeatedly shown that he is one of the most powerful working actors today and that he would likely embody Wolverine.
Marvel Studios confirmed its intention to include mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during its 2019 San Diego Comic-Con presentation. However, the studio would be in no rush to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, which means it will likely take some time before they learn who will replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
What do you think of the concept design? Do you want to see Superman star Henry Cavill play Wolverine? Are you sad to see Hugh Jackman leaving the role? Sound-off in the comments!
