Obituary of Margaret Hollywood – (1934-2014)
San Mateo resident Margaret “Marge” Elizabeth Hollywood, 80, passed away peacefully in Daly City, California on November 10, 2014, with family members by her side. Marge was born on January 25, 1934 to Paul and Emilie Bartke in San Francisco, California. . After 42 years of dedicated service, Marge retired as a supervisor for the California State Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco. She was a member of the Widow/Widowers Club of Los Altos, California for over 20 years. Marge's family and friends were her greatest joy and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her throughout her life's journey. Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel J. Hollywood II and her brother Walter Bartke. She is survived by her sister-in-law Hope Bartke, niece of Roselle Bartke-Borg (David), nephew of Paul Bartke and great-niece of Alana Bartke. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Daniel III (Michelle), William (Laurette), Robert and Kathleen (Mike) Hollywood; grandchildren Matthew (Meggie), Kelly and Danielle Hollywood. We would like to thank her dear friend Don Vistica for bringing happiness to Margie in her final years. Friends are invited to attend Rosary services on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell Funeral Home at 977 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo. A traditional funeral mass will take place on Monday, November 19. 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in San Mateo at 300 Alameda de Las Pulgas. Lunch immediately after mass at St Bart's then burial at Skylawn Memorial Park.
