Sonam Bajwa reveals why she hasn't entered Bollywood yet
Actress Sonam Bajwa has garnered a significant fan following with her stellar performances and charismatic screen presence in Punjabi films. Despite his immense popularity and talent, Bajwa is yet to make a full-fledged entry into Bollywood, which has left many of his fans curious. Recently, she explained the reasons behind her decision and stressed the importance of waiting for the right storyline.
Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Sonam said, “I am waiting for a good script. You see, some films I have said no to and then lately I have heard people saying that many don't know that I live in Mumbai. So they I think since I am not staying here, I don't want to work in Hindi films. That said, if I am offered a good script, I would love to do Hindi films.
Like many, Bajwa also wants to be a part of Bollywood. His first brush with the Hindi film industry came with an appearance in the 2019 film Bala. Although it was a brief role, it hinted at his potential and left the audience wanting more. Despite this, Bajwa is yet to take on a major role in Bollywood, a deliberate choice rooted in his desire for quality over quantity.
Sonam said that she was also open to the idea of working in South films, “Actually, I would love to work in South films as well. I had worked there years ago and then I am came to Punjab and started working there and I have been very busy But now I feel the more I work in multiple languages the better it is for me I just want to do good work and every time. it's supposed to, I'll do Hindi films.
“I would also like to work with Ammy in Hindi films,” concluded Sonam.
Sonam Bajwa's acting journey began with her debut in the Punjabi film, Best of Luck, in 2013. Over the years, she has delivered several memorable performances in films like Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji, Nikka Zaildar and Guddiyan Patole.
She is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Kudi Haryane Val Di. The film stars Ammy Virk and is set to be released on June 14.
