On the claim that Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame installed a drain because people kept pissing on him

Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star had a drain installed because people were repeatedly urinating in it.

On June 4, 2024, a Reddit user posted a screenshot of an X-rated post that allegedly showed a drain installed on Hollywood Walk of Fame star Donald Trump.

The Reddit user said the iconic landmark, which appeared to be covered in a murky stain, was their favorite place to urinate in Los Angeles.

“This is our favorite place to pee in LA,” they wrote.

THE X message captured by screenshotwho had racked up more than 530,000 views at the time of writing, added: “They must have installed a drain.”

Similar articles appeared elsewhere on And Reddit.

However, no credible media reported that a drain was added to Trump's Walk of Fame star due to people urinating on it, which would have been newsworthy if true.

For example, many publications reported that the star had been repeatedly vandalized or defaced, as in October 2016, July 2018 And October 2020.

In 2016, Snopes investigated claims that people defecate on Trump's star.

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (HCC), which administers the Walk of Fame, had not published any Press Releases regarding the drain installation at the time of writing this article, which is why we have currently classified this claim as “unfounded.”

Snopes has contacted HCC for comment and will update this article if we receive a response.
