Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan, in a recent interview with Hindustan Timesrecognized his status as an “outsider” in the industry.

Entering Bollywood 13 years ago with no ties to the industry, Aaryan said, “It is what it is,” accepting the label that has followed him throughout his career.

Aaryan expressed his gratitude for his career in Bollywood, emphasizing that he will never forget his roots.

He said, “When I started my journey in Bollywood, I didn't know anyone here… But the fact remains that I was never an insider.”

Aaryan added, “I have no other backup. I have nowhere to go and I may not get a second or third chance. This is the fear that is constant in my head.”

Aaryan's anticipation for 'Chandu Champion'

Aaryan is looking forward to the release of his next film, Champion Chandudirected by Kabir Khan.

The film, based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming, required Aaryan to undergo a significant physical transformation.

He described the experience as “a difficult process, but very enjoyable.”

Co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Khan, Champion Chandu is scheduled to hit theaters on June 14.
