Nilfer Yanya has announced a new album. My Acting methodthe third album from the London singer-songwriters, arrives September 13 via Ninja Music. The LP features recent single Like I Say (I Runaway), as well as Method Actor, a new song released today. Check out the single along with the album’s artwork and tracklist below.

My Acting method is the continuation of the years 2022 Painless. Yanya collaborated with a creative partner Wilma Archer for the album, writing and recording in London, Wales and Eastbourne. It's the most intense album, in that regard, Yanya explained in a press release. Because there were only two of us. We didn't let anyone else into the bubble.

Speaking about Method Actor's latest single, Yanya said: “I was researching method acting and from what I read, it's based on finding that one memory in your life, a life-changing, life-changing memory. The reason some people find methodical behavior traumatic and perhaps mentally dangerous is because you keep coming back to that moment. It's a bit like being a musician. When you perform, you always try to invoke the energy and emotion of when you first wrote it, in that moment.

Yanya also recently announced a North American and European tour, taking place this fall and featuring support from Anglica Garcia, Lutalo and Eliza McLamb.
