Darshan Thoogudeepa arrested: Kannada actor arrested in murder case
Bengaluru police arrested Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa from Mysuru on June 11 in connection with a murder case, HT Kannada reported. The South Indian actor was arrested for his alleged links in the Renukaswamy murder case and is currently shifted to Bangalore.

Renukaswamy allegedly posted derogatory messages on social media about Pavitra Gowda and suggested an initial police investigation. Police started investigating the case after finding Renukaswamy's dead body near Sumannahalli Bridge in Bengaluru, Asianet reported.
So far, ten people have been arrested in this case. According to an Asianet report, police officials are likely to give more information about the case at a press conference soon.
The 47-year-old was picked up from a hotel in Mysuru in connection with Renukaswamy's murder.
Renukaswamy murder case
Hailing from Chitradurga, Renukaswamy was allegedly murdered for harassing Pavithra Gowda online. Gowda is close friends with Kannada actor Darshan. Renukaswamy was asked to approach a farmhouse in Mysuru owned by Darshan.
The accused allegedly tortured Renukaswamy for hours and murdered him before dumping his body in a drain in Bengaluru's Kamakshipalya area two months ago, reported The Hindu, referring to the police. The police recovered the dead body on June 9 from the area and started an investigation into the case.
After Darshan Thoogudeepas' arrest, police were deployed near his residence in Bangalore. Three people arrested during the initial investigation into the murder case allegedly admitted to killing Renukaswamy over financial disputes, reported Indian express.
Who is Darshan Thoogudeepa?
Darshan Thoogudeepa is a Kannada film actor famous for his films like Anatharu and Krantiveera Sangolly Rayanna, released in 2012.
He is also a producer and distributor. Born on February 16, 1977, Darshan started his production house, Thoogudeepa Productions, in 2006. The production house's first film was Jothe Jotheyalu, in which Darshan made a special appearance.
Darshan has also won several awards. He won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna.
