Summer is here? Sorry, bad punctuation. Summer is here! Alaska summers can be short, but they're also often glorious, hitting the part of the year with the longest (and potentially sunniest) days. There's no better way to enjoy a sunny day than relaxing on a deck or patio.

Whether you're socializing after a hike or bike ride, or it's the main event of a leisurely day, lounging outside with your refreshment of choice just seems to do the trick . To celebrate the sunny days of 2024, here are 24 Anchorage establishments with outdoor seating for eating, drinking, and generally hanging out.

The Familia pop-up restaurant is usually open Thursday through Saturday for those looking to dine. (148 West, 91st Avenue.)

Girdwood Brewery is a great place to cool off after your North Face hike or Bird to Gird bike ride. A patio surrounds almost half of the building, and along with a cold beer, you can often find several food trucks offering a variety of dishes. (2700 Alyeska Highway in Girdwood)

King Street Brewery has a titanic roof deck that gets as much sun as almost any other in Anchorage. The establishment added a pizzeria on the second floor for hungry customers and offers a wide and diverse selection of beers and ciders. (9050 King Street)

Long before some Anchorage breweries developed monolithic decks, there were Midnight Sun Brew. Their patio holds a fraction of the capacity of others, but is easily accessible from a number of Mount Chugach trailheads for a post-hike libation. (8111 Dimond Hook Drive)
