Chandu Champion star Kartik Aaryan opens up about being an outsider in Bollywood

Kartik Aaryan, who will star in Kabir Khan's epic sports drama Champion Chandustarted his career with Luv Ranjan's group Love Punchnama.

The actor recently opened up about his journey as an outsider in Bollywood and pointed out that even members of film families now want to appear like outsiders. In an interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, Kartik said, “Everyone wants to be an outsider now. Even those from cinema families try to become outsiders.”

Kartik weighed in on the insider-outsider debate, sharing his thoughts on giving his own children the benefits of nepotism.

He said: “Now everyone wants to be a foreigner. Those who come from film families also try to be seen as outsiders. For someone who has always been a part of the industry, he often has to showcase his talent more. If I had come from a film family, I would have had more exposure and opportunities from a different perspective. The playing field has never been level, although it may be changing now. It's no one's fault. »

Kartik to star in Kabir Khan's sports biopic Champion Chandu, representing Indian Paralympic Olympian Murlikant Petkar. The film also features Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave and Palak Lalwani. Co-produced by Kabir Khan Films and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, 'Chandu Champion' will release worldwide on June 14.

Kartik is also expected to appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3slated for release on Diwali 2024. Directed by Anees Bazmi, the horror-comedy will star Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan and is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.
