Karnataka Home Minister denies reports that actor Darshan received 'royal treatment' at police station
“I will ask the police to take necessary action in the public interest, but we should also let them investigate freely. It is not possible for the police to give biryani and royal treatment to the accused. This does not “is not done and it should not be done,” Parameshwara told reporters here.

When it was pointed out that other complainants and those who come for passport verification are finding it difficult to reach the police station, the minister said he would direct the police to take necessary action in this regard .
Darshan, known as 'Challenging Star', and his associates were arrested on Tuesday for the murder of Renukaswamy, 33, a fan of the actor. Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga town, the district headquarters, reportedly commented on the social media account of Pavithra Gowda, Darshan's friend and child actress, accusing her of creating a rift between the actor and his wife. He also allegedly made “indecent remarks” and published offensive messages, according to police sources.
Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) within a 200 meter radius of the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station, where the suspects are being held and questioned, banning public gatherings.
