On Tuesday, June 11, an SUV driven by Saul James Garcia, 31, of Marshalltown, was traveling south on Reed Avenue at 250th Street when he struck an trespassing deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Garcia SUV was estimated at $1,500.
On Monday, June 10, a pickup truck driven by Timothy Jay Jennings, 70, of Marshalltown, was heading south on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that jumped onto the roadway from the west ditch, causing caused disabling damage to the front. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jennings van was estimated at $15,000.
