Comedic actor Hiram Kasten, who appeared on shows such as Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Saved By the Bell, has died at the age of 71 following a battle with prostate cancer.

An obituary for Kasten was posted Sunday afternoon on his Facebook page, saying he died in the arms of his wife Diana Kisiel Kastenbaum “just hours after their 38th wedding anniversary.”

Seinfeld “passed Hiram on his first audition and he became a regular,” with the pair forming “a friendship that lasted 45 years,” according to the obituary.

He was also friends with notable names such as Michael Richards, Paul Reiser, Larry Miller and Mark Schiff, according to the obituary.

Kasten, Bronx-born Hiram Z. Kastenbaum, had also performed on cruise ships and had a show in Las Vegas at the Desert Inn (since closed) called “The Rat Pack is Back.”
