Jeremy Strong wins Best Actor in a Play at the 2024 Tony Awards

Jeremy Strong won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for An enemy of the people at the 77th Annual Tony Awards, held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center on June 16.
“I want to thank the ushers and front desk staff who see me walk in every day looking like I've just been hit by a truck and see me walk out looking even worse, with pieces of pretzels in my arms. hair,” Strong said while accepting the award. “This play is a cry from the heart and an exhortation to face the difficult truths facing us all right now. It was a privilege to bring his grief and his hope to the audience.”

This is Strong's first Tony win and nomination. He made his Broadway debut in the 2008 production A man for all seasons.
