Pashmina Roshan explains why she is making her Bollywood debut with 'Ishq Vishk Rebound'

NEW DELHI: Superstar Hrithik Roshan's cousin Pashmina Roshan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming romantic comedy 'Ishq Vishk Rebound', shared the reasons that fascinated her to be a part of this film.

On what made her say yes to the film, directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, Pashmina told IANS: “First of all, working with such an iconic franchise is like a dream come true for me. So, at first , it was wow…Secondly, it's a romantic film and my favorite genre is romance and romantic comedy.”

“Third, it's about showing love to the youth of our generation. So to be able to portray that, it's something we all relate to a lot. Even if things like that haven't happened in our lives, and while we haven't gone through the same scenarios that our character went through, the whole theme is very close to us – the confusion in Gen Z love, or millennial love, is right there. .and we face it daily there were a lot of these things,” Pashmina shared.

Calling it a perfect debut, Pashmina said, “And as things progressed, the music progressed, we were treated so well, we were taken care of so much… it's my debut and I feels like a perfect… everything went well. Everything fell into place for me.”

Talking about her acting aspirations, Pashmina said she discovered her love for cinema on the sets of 'Koi… Mil Gaya'.

“My sister Suranika and I would go to the set, and it was the happiest place in the world for us. We felt like we would never have to go home. That's when I learned that I love being on set. I had theater at school. I had a really lovely teacher, Ms. Amala, who was so passionate about the work that she instilled that passion in us. everyone in this class has moved into the creative field, and I think a lot of them are,” Pashmina said.

She said: “So I think from those two instances I got a taste of what the performing arts world was like. I always felt like I was more of a artist than anything else, and that’s what brings me the most joy.”

Pashmina further revealed the advice she received from her elder brother Hrithik which she followed diligently.

“There was a time when I was deciding whether I should pursue a career in marketing or stay here. I had doubts about whether I was good enough to be in this field or not. So at that time, no only Hrithik, but everyone in my family had given me the following advice: “You can achieve anything you want if you put your heart into it every day and work for it,” she said.

She concluded by saying, “And that's something I take not only with films but with everything I do. If I want to do something, I try to do it with complete dedication. I'll walk or I'll run to my goal, if I can't run, then I'll crawl to it. So that's the advice I was given, and that's what I saw them do.
