Pashmina Roshan explains why she is making her Bollywood debut with 'Ishq Vishk Rebound'

New Delhi– Superstar Hrithik Roshan's cousin Pashmina Roshan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming romantic comedy 'Ishq Vishk Rebound', shared the reasons that fascinated her to be a part of this film.

On what made her say yes to the Nipun Dharmadhikari-directed film, Pashmina told IANS, “Firstly, working with such an iconic franchise is like a dream come true for me. So at first it was wow… Secondly, it’s a romantic movie and my favorite genre is romance and romantic comedy.

“Third, it shows the love of the youth of our generation. So to be able to describe that, it's something that we all relate to very much. Even though such things haven't happened in our lives, and we haven't experienced the same scenarios as our character, the whole theme is very relatable to us – Gen Z's confusion in love, or millennial love. right there…and we face it daily. So there were a lot of those things,” Pashmina explained.

Calling it a perfect debut, Pashmina said, “And as things progressed, the music progressed, we were treated so well, we were taken care of so much…this is my debut and I feel like a perfect… everything is fine. Everything fell into place for me.

Talking about her acting aspirations, Pashmina said that she discovered her love for cinema on the sets of 'Koi…Mil Gaya'.

“My sister Suranika and I would go to the set, and it was the happiest place in the world for us. Before, we felt like we should never come home. That’s where I learned that I loved being on set. I had theater at school. I had a really lovely teacher, Ms. Amala, who was so passionate about the work that she instilled that passion in us. And I think everyone in that class gravitated toward the creative field, and I think a lot of credit goes to that,” Pashmina said.

She said: “So I think from those two cases I got a taste of what the performing arts world was like. I've always felt like I'm more of an artist than anything else, and that's what brings me the most joy.

Pashmina further revealed the advice she received from her elder brother Hrithik which she followed diligently.

“There was a time when I was wondering whether I should pursue a career in marketing or stay here. I had doubts about whether I was good enough to be in this field or not. So, at that time, not only Hrithik, but everyone in my family had given me the following advice: “you can achieve anything you want if you put your soul into it every day and work for it” “, she said.
